SPEEDSKIN’S TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BEFORE ORDERING, PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW. By clicking on the Terms & Conditions check box on SpeedSkin’s, UniFit, pre-purchase page, Customer acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted the below terms and conditions.

  1. Because UniFit is designed as a one-size-fits-all cover for all Chromebook-style laptops / keyboards, there may be minor or nominal  shifting of this cover on some keyboards. This minor shifting is normal on some keyboards and does not not affect 1) the secure placement of the cover on the proper underlying keys, 2) the instructional purposes for which UniFit is intended, and 3) is not the basis for return, exchange, or refund. 


2. Exchanges and Returns: All pre-purchased orders are considered as sold, subject to SpeedSkin’s Limited, Pre-Purchase and Return and Exchange Policies in §8 and §9, below. Pre-purchased UniFit covers cannot be exchanged for other items. Cancellations, according to §6, are permitted.  

UniFit Pre-Purchase Process: All UniFit pre-purchase orders require credit card payment at checkout. Purchase orders are not accepted for this program.


2.1. UniFit, pre-purchase orders can be placed starting on April 15, 2024. The earliest order delivery date will be June 18, 2024. Customer may designate a “deliver on or after” date after June 18, 2024, in the Pre-Purchase order form after the above date of June 18, 2024.


2.2. Upon order submission, a confirmation email will be sent providing Customer an order summary.


3. Delivery Date: The Customer will designate a delivery date on or after a specific date entered within the Buy-Now order form with an allowance for a 7-day delay based upon shipping considerations which are not within SpeedSkin’s control. 

3.1. Please do not order if you are unable to wait.


4. Shipping / Tracking: SpeedSkin ships each order with a carrier tracking number. If your order has not been received according to these Terms & Conditions, call SpeedSkin (800.558.7601) for assistance.


5. Delivery Delays: Pre-purchased orders may arrive later than the Customer’s designated delivery date, due to several factors beyond SpeedSkin’s control, including but not limited to: 1) supply-chain issues;  2) force majeure: war, terrorist attacks, strikes, supply chain interruptions; and / or pandemics, and / or 3) “Acts of God: natural disasters such as, floods, earthquakes, or hurricanes. 


6. Order Cancellations: SpeedSkin will accept cancellations by email to within 3 business days of the date of purchase. The Subject line must state: “Cancellation of order Number #_____” (provided in confirmation email). 


7. Non-Transferability: All UniFit pre-orders are non-transferable. SpeedSkin and its dealers will not honor such requests to protect the privacy and security of its Customers. All pre-purchase orders shall ship directly to the person and address specified in the pre-purchase order form.


8. SpeedSkin’s Limited, Pre-Purchase Exchange-Only Policy: The only two bases for product exchanges are for SpeedSkin’s manufacturer defects or damage or loss in transit as set forth in §8.1 and §8.2 below. 


8.1. The following do not constitute SpeedSkin’s manufacturer’s defects: 1) standard-for-the-industry variations in the orange, dye-lot color or imprinting; 2) thickness and variances standard within the industry, unless the letters on the keys are clearly visible through the UniFit cover (photo documentation required); 3) warping or stretching, creasing / folding due to improper storage or exposure to excessive heat by Customer; and 4) on some keyboards, the horizontal groove above the space bar may not match the same groove of your keyboard(s). 


8.2. The design element described §8.1, sub-section 4) above does not affect UniFit’s function and is intended and necessary to accommodate the majority of Chromebook models. Hence, this design accommodation will not be the basis for cover exchanges as a manufacturer’s defect. 


9. Exchange Procedure for SpeedSkin Manufacturer’s Defect(s): Dealer shall promptly email all exchange requests for manufacturer’s defects to SpeedSkin’s resolution per §9.1 below. For SpeedSkin manufacturer’s defect: Customer shall inform SpeedSkin by email (info@speedskin.com), within 10 days of order receipt, all of the following in one email: 1) the nature of the product defect(s); 2) the number of defective covers; 3) provide photo-documentation of the defect for all covers; and 4) request an Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. If the same defect applies to many covers, a single photo will suffice.

 

9.1. Should SpeedSkin agree, and at its sole discretion, based on a review of the photos and or returned product, that the defect(s) will impair the intended use of the UniFit cover, SpeedSkin will issue an RMA number and return shipping instructions by email within three business days of Customer’s notification. 


9.2. IMPORTANT: SpeedSkin will only exchange the defective merchandise with new covers, upon SpeedSkin’s receipt of the claimed defective merchandise for physical inspection and SpeedSkin’s final determination of the number of covers deemed defective and thus qualify for an exchange. 


9.3. If SpeedSkin, at its sole discretion, determines that the returned units are functional, SpeedSkin will return the product to the Customer at Customer’s expense, using Customer’s carrier. 


9.4. If SpeedSkin determines that the returned units are defective, SpeedSkin will exchange them, and ship replacement covers to Customer at SpeedSkin’s expense.


10. Pre-purchased orders may arrive later than the Customer’s designated delivery date, or may be undeliverable, due to several factors beyond SpeedSkin’s control, including but not limited to: 1) supply-chain issues; 2) force majeure: war, terrorist attacks, strikes; and / or pandemics, and / or 3) “Acts of God”: natural disasters such as, floods, earthquakes, or hurricanes.
